Whole foods, foods in their natural state like fruits, vegetables, grains and legumes, nourish the body so that it can regulate better and repair itself. There is an incredible irreplaceable force in all of life that knows how to heal. When we learn our nutrition from nature, we find that whole foods contain a symphony of nutrients that go beyond the basic nutrition books and ideas.
Human beings carry within themselves the seed of healing. Our choices affect us more than we realize. We have the power to heal ourselves. People who use Western medicine have for a long time viewed their health as something they can manage rather than something that is affected by everything they do. After all, it might seem a lot easier to some people to just pop a pill to take care of an ailment rather than examine their lifestyle and make permanent changes. Perhaps it is easier in the short term, but it is not necessarily the best way to care for one’s health for the long term.
Reasonably, it comes down to rethinking the way we think about our health. Instead of deciding to take medication immediately and considering pharmaceutical solutions to be the ultimate answer, we might want to look at our overall lifestyle and examine choices we can make to solve the problem.
Take away’s from this class on how to:
Heal with whole foods
Improve your health
Increase energy
Transition to more whole foods in your every day
Ultimately to be more aware with whatever lifestyle you choose
NOTE: This class is NOT about becoming vegan, it is about becoming healthy.

Anatomy 1 Workshop
Inquire for dates/times
These workshops (Anatomy 1, Anatomy 2 etc. etc.) will be standalone workshops reviewing and looking at a wide variety of poses and their effects and benefits of them on the body.
Through this workshop you will be empowered to use your innate ability to become more in tune with your body and create a healthy practice
When we learn to unlock stuck joints and support our musculature in the proper way we go beyond the basic aspects of anatomy and physiology and truly find the keys that yoga holds for our health.
Yoga nourishes the body so that it can regulate better and repair itself. And as human beings we intrinsically understand our bodies potential to heal ourselves.
This program is a practical and comprehensive system to provide the need-to-know facts for a solid understanding of how the human body works.
As a practitioner you’ll get to experiment with familiar poses approached from a new direction and take this knowledge and see how to apply it.
It’s not necessary to memorize hundreds of muscles and bones to apply science to yoga.
It will be best to try and focus on one aspect of a pose at a time whether that be the muscle group involved from large to small, the joint action or alignment. The word for focus in Sanskrit is Drishti and that is what you want to do. This will help you so as to not become overwhelmed by the subject matter and allow a deeper level of understanding.
Practicing yoga is an exploration of our individual bodies, minds and spirituality. Each practitioner needs to find their own best interpretation of each of these components and our job as instructors is to facilitate that journey.
Anatomy describes the structure of how our body is physically put together, physiology explains how all the components of the human organism work, individually and together, to maintain life.
With a background in exercise physiology, holistic health, Reiki, Touch Kinesiology, Tai Chi, Yoga and meditation and nutrition, Ken brings a completely different perspective on empowering yourself to look within the body and mind to positive changes in your life.
