Ken Bell

E-RYT 500 YACEP, CPBN

Yogi | Yoga Educator | Exercise Physiologist | Public Speaker | Teacher Trainer

Ken Bell is a lifelong student of yoga, meditation, Buddhism, and conscious living. His journey into yoga began after years of rock climbing, guiding, and mountaineering in South America, including ascents of the highest peaks in the Southern Hemisphere. These formative experiences shaped his deep respect for the intelligence of the body, the power of presence, and the necessity of mindful movement.

With over 30 years of formal training as an Exercise Physiologist, Ken brings a rare science-based foundation to the yogic tradition. His teaching bridges modern anatomy, biomechanics, and physiology with the philosophical and meditative roots of yoga. He is also Cornell University–certified in Plant-Based Nutrition, further informing his holistic approach to health and longevity.

Ken is a Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 and YACEP instructor who has taught yoga and meditation internationally. He is additionally certified in Yin YogaUsui Reiki (Master/Teacher)Tai Chi, and meditation. Alongside his wife and creative partner, Marcy, he is the co-owner and lead trainer of Metta School of Yoga, where he specializes in educating future teachers with an anatomy-forward, alignment-based, and compassionate teaching methodology.

A sought-after educator, Ken has taught anatomy, alignment, and physiology across numerous 200- and 300-hour teacher training programs and provides private instruction and professional consultation for individuals seeking personalized, sustainable wellness practices.

Ken is also a writer and speaker in the health and wellness space. His work has appeared in publications including MindBodyGreen, and he is the author of a fitness booklet as well as the co-author of three vegan cookbooks, “The Best of Both Worlds Cookbook”, written collaboratively with Marcy as a tribute to our daughter.

Known for his clarity, authenticity, and grounded presence, Ken offers accessible pathways to well-being and conscious living. His teaching emphasizes curiosity, self-inquiry, and the belief that each individual holds limitless potential for awakening the body–mind–spirit connection. Above all, Ken teaches from lived experience—rooted in compassion, integrity, and a genuine love for people, both on and off the mat.

Health is the new currency.
