Ken comes from the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects to empower you to make positive changes in your life.

When we learn our nutrition from nature we find that whole foods contain a symphony of nutrients that go beyond the basic nutrition books and ideas.

Whole foods nourish the body so that it can regulate better and repair itself.  There is an incredible irreplaceable force in all of life that knows how to heal.

Human beings carry within themselves the seed of healing. Our choices affect us more than we realize. We have the power to heal ourselves.

People who use Western medicine have for a long time viewed their health as something they can manage rather than something that is affected by everything they do. After all, it might seem a lot easier to some people to just pop a pill to take care of an ailment rather than examine their lifestyle and make permanent changes. Perhaps it is easier, but it is not necessarily the best way to care for one’s health.

Perhaps it comes down to rethinking the way they think about our health. Instead of deciding to take medication immediately and considering pharmaceutical solutions to be the ultimate answer, we might want to look at our overall lifestyle and examine choices we can make to solve the problem.

When diet is wrong medicine is of no use…when diet is correct medicine is of no need….. Ayurvedic proverb

“Natural forces within us are the true healers.”  Hippocrates, father of modern medicine, circa 400 BC

Demonstrating that you are able to eat healthy and still have all the great flavors your palate and memories long for. “Life is sweet, and with no guarantees so eat and be merry and make many, many fabulous memories along the way.”

Having lost our youngest daughter in 2016, we decided to create something that honored all that she stood for in her brief 21 years. Being a foodie, she was about creating great food she could share in quality time with family and friends. She had that holiday mindset of “food, family, fun” all year ‘round. This very unique cookbook takes, in today’s speed, an unconventional approach to the relationship with food, making that quality time with the people we love, both near and far, and reminding ourselves of the sweet things in life. In this book, traditional recipes submitted by friends and family in tribute to loved ones lost, have been converted into healthier options of the original recipe. Demonstrating that you are able to eat healthy and still have all the great flavors your palate and memories long for. Life is sweet, and with no guarantees so eat cake… and then EVENTUALLY you may get to the entrée.
